Honda Cars India has reported a 50.34 per cent decline in domestic sales to 6,459 units in November 2019. In comparison, the carmaker had sold 13,006 units in November 2018.
The domestic sales of Honda Cars India fell 29.44 per cent to 10,010 units in October 2019, 37.24 per cent to 9,301 units in September 2019, 51.3 per cent to 8,291 units in August 2019, 48.67 per cent to 10,250 units in July 2019 and 41.40 per cent to 10,314 units in June 2019.
At present, Honda Cars India sells models like City, Amaze, Jazz, WR-V, BR-V, Civic and CR-V in the country.
“Our sales numbers are better than our plan for the month. We are in the last leg of our BS4 runout and accordingly supplies had to be optimised as we progress towards BS6 transition model by model sequentially,” said Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director – Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India.
The domestic sales of Honda Cars India’s rival Maruti Suzuki India slipped 3.2 per cent to 1,41,400 units in November 2019. On the other hand, Hyundai Motor India witnessed a 2 per cent jump in domestic sales to 44,600 units during the month.
Honda Cars India exported 105 units in November 2019. The figure is 80.66 per cent lower than 543 units exported by the carmaker in November 2018.
